Conversations (aka Inbox) is a messaging tool internal to Canvas. Messages sent or received in Conversations are available in Canvas. Individuals can choose to also have them available through their preferred email, but a copy is retained in Canvas. Learn more.

 

Conversations work exactly like your email. You can send to an entire class roster, separate sections or choose individuals from the course roster. Learn more.

Yes. If the option isn’t showing in your course menu, open Settings>then the Navigation tab Next drag it from the list of hidden items to the list of shown items>then scroll down and Save. Learn more.

 

This feature allows individuals with the role Observer to see which of the students they are assigned to observe is receiving a message. At Le Moyne, Observers aren’t assigned to an individual student, so this feature doesn’t apply. Learn more.

 

Yes, they can. Students can use the textbox in Canvas to enter the formulas, tables, and text when taking an exam that involves them entering math equations as answers. They can enter formulas into textboxes using "Insert math equations" functionalities in Canvas textbox. They can also enter table using the "Insert Table" option in Canvas textbox.
