Create a Google Assignment
The Create a Google Assignment page has many different options to choose from before finalizing the creation of your assignment. These instructions and tips are for after reading the How do I turn on Google Assignments for a Canvas assignment? guide.
“Turning on” Google Assignments for your Canvas assignment does not enable the feature for all course assignments. You will need to perform the actions in How do I turn on Google Assignments for a Canvas assignment? and How do I build a Google Assignment with Canvas? for each assignment you wish to use this feature with.

To turn on originality reports, in the assignment, next to Originality reports, click the switch On Continue. This feature is optional and can also be turned on later.

To make individual copies of a file for each student to work on, click Attach. You can then choose a file from your linked Google Drive. To make individual copies of a new Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide, click the Create button. This feature is optional.

Finishing in Canvas
In Canvas, click Select Save or Save & Publish.Tip: Students can't see an assignment until you publish it.
