Enabling Zoom in Your Canvas Course

The steps below will allow you to make Zoom available to you and your students in a Canvas course.

Note: you must enable Zoom in all of your courses. Enabling the Zoom link in one course will not automatically enable it in all of your courses.

  1. Open the Canvas course where you would like to have a Zoom link available.

  2. Open the Settings from the left-hand Course Navigation Menu.

  3. Click the Navigation tab toward the top of the settings page.

  4. Scroll down to the section labeled Drag items here to hide them from students.

  5. Locate Zoom and drag it up into the section labeled Drag and drop items to reorder them in the course navigation.

    1. Alternatively, you can click on the three vertical dots and select Enable to move the link to the top section.

  6. Place the Zoom link in the desired location where you want it to appear.

  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

  8. Test the new Zoom link in your course menu.

Note: The same steps can be followed to enable My Media and Media Gallery (the links that represent Kaltura in Canvas).
