The Instructional Design and Academic Technology (ID/AT) team is pleased to extend more Kaltura training workshops. The offerings are listed below followed by descriptions of each offering.

Instructional Design and Academic Technology Workshops

 

All sessions are remote using Zoom. Please register for the sessions below to receive meeting link. These sessions are offered during Fall 2020 starting from August 18, 2020.

Session Descriptions

Interactive Videos Features with Kaltura - Participants will learn the interactive video features available through Kaltura like media player, bookmarks on video timeline, quizzes, and discussions.

Using Kaltura Capture to Create Video from your Desktop - Participants will learn to locate Kaltura Capture which is a desktop capturing application, install and use it to create videos.

Using Video as Instruction with Kaltura - Participants will learn to activate Kaltura, identify the tabs, create videos, enable captions in Canvas.

Using Kaltura Video Quiz and Video Edit Tool - Participants will learn to locate Video Editor tool in Kaltura which allows editing capabilities, and adding quizzes and hotspots on videos. Please know that this session will be an advanced application of Kaltura features. Consider attending other introduction style sessions like Using Video as Instruction first before you attend this advanced session.

Interactive Video Paths in Kaltura - Participants will be able to create, share, and embed interactive video paths in Canvas courses to add choice-based learning paths to videos. Please know that this session will be an advanced application of Kaltura features. Consider attending other introduction style sessions like Using Video as Instruction first before you attend this advanced session.

Using Kaltura Classroom: The New Lecture Capture Tool - Participants will learn to locate Kaltura Classroom on teaching stations, identify the buttons, add more video inputs, start and stop the recording, and upload the videos to My Media folder. Please note, this session is applicable to faculty members who are teaching on face-to-face classes using teaching stations in physical classrooms.
