To turn on Google Assignments for your Canvas assignment, you will need to create a new assignment as an external tool.

“Turning on” Google Assignments for your Canvas assignment does not enable the feature for all course assignments. You will need to perform the actions in How do I turn on Google Assignments for a Canvas assignment? and How do I build a Google Assignment with Canvas? for each assignment you wish to use this feature with.

9. After clicking Find, the Configure External Tool window will open. Scroll through the list until you see Google Assignments (LTI 1.3), then click the blue magnifying glass next to the option.

10. For first-time loginsuse, a window will open titled Link Resource from External Tool and say Google Assignments. This window is verifying that you are using the email account associated with your Canvas. If you are logged in with the correct email, click the blue Link button.

If you are not logged in correctly, please click switch account, and log in with your Le Moyne credentials.

11. After linking your account, you will need to click once again be shown a window with information and confirming your Google Account. Click the blue Link button again.
