1. Using Zoom within Canvas: Zoom-Canvas-Kaltura Functionality

Topics Covered: This video explains how to enable Zoom in Canvas, advantages of using Zoom from within Canvas, create meetings, how to start a meeting from within Canvas as a faculty member, how students can join your meeting from Canvas, how to create a recording so that the recording will automatically upload to Kaltura My Media. Please note that the processor on your computer should be a minimum of Intel i5 or AMD A10 with 4 cores for Kaltura Capture (a software application that can be downloaded onto your computer which allows you to record lectures) to work.

Kaltura Workshop Recordings

1. Find My Media and Media Gallery & Enable Kaltura Links in Canvas Course Navigation menu

Topics Covered: This video allows you to locate and enable Kaltura links in Canvas. There are two links associated with Kaltura in Canvas: My Media and Media Gallery. This video helps you locate them and start using Kaltura in Canvas. (4 minutes)

2. Authorize Kaltura for the first time

Topics Covered: This video is applicable to the users who have never used Kaltura before to activate their Kaltura account. (<1 minute)

3. Identify self-help doc

Topics Covered: This is a Google Doc that has step-by-step guides and short videos on using various Kaltura features.

4. Using Video as Instruction With Kaltura

Topics Covered: This is an introductory level workshop on Kaltura. This link can be distributed if the users never used Kaltura before. Activate Kaltura, identify the tabs, create videos, create and edit playlists, publish video in a course and enable captions in Canvas. Please note that this is an interactive video that allows you to watch specific topics within the video by clicking on the navigation on the top left corner of the video. (53 minutes)

5. Interactive Video Features with Kaltura

Topics Covered: Interactive video features available through Kaltura like media player, bookmarks on video timeline, quizzes, and discussions. (41 minutes)

6. Creating Videos with Kaltura Capture from you Desktop Computer

Topics Covered: Locate Kaltura Capture which is a desktop capturing application, install and use it to create videos. Please note that this is an interactive video that allows you to watch specific topics within the video by clicking on the navigation on the top left corner of the video. (35 minutes)

7. Using Kaltura Classroom: The New Lecture Capture Tool on Teaching Stations at LMC

Topics Covered: Locate Kaltura Classroom on teaching stations, identify the buttons, add more video inputs, start and stop the recording, and upload the videos to My Media folder. Please note, this video is applicable to faculty members who are teaching face-to-face classes using teaching stations in physical classrooms. (7 minutes)
